The vampire and zombie theme is one of my favorite themes in carving. In my opinion, this subject allows you to constantly invent new and crazier outfits. My zombies is a kind of a joke theme search - for example, a terrible hideous, disintegrating carcass I try to show in a non-obvious way. I am a character and monster designer, so in sculptures I always try to propose my own design. A prime example of this is the self-eating zombie and the snapped-necked zombie. I believe that you will like my new concepts of vampires, zombies, skeletons and other dead men. Soon new sketches of zombies, vampires and skeletons will be available on my website!

This is my next little zombie head that I made with polymer clay. The theme of the head of the portrait of a specific character is very interesting and difficult at the same time. I often explore it, learning how to best design monsters, aliens and specific characters from the world of fantazy, horror, sciente fiction.

Zombie head with worms

Very often, when I design a zombie I think first what a hideous face he will have. Then I wonder what busts might look like and finally I design the whole character. Sometimes the sculpture stays at the sketch stage, other times I refine it in every detail.  I carved this head in polymeclay. This head was created when I collaborated with Platige Image on character projects for the movie Fatima. I used to go to Warsaw every week and to kill time I sculpted this zombie on a train. Some people on the train were staring at the phone, others were reading something and I was carving this creature. Today I think that what I was doing for many people was strange and maybe phenomenal.

Zombie bust with a broken neck

In my sculptures I try to show something different in them, e.g. I wanted this zombie to have its unique idea. Sometimes I want my sculpture to look scary, other times I want them to have a kind of joke. In this bust of zombies, I came up with a broken neck and head turned to the other side. I carved a bust in monster clay and the zombies below are made of polyurethane resin. If you like the sculpture you can find it in the head-zombie bust 001 category

Zombie eating itself

When designing a character I often think about many things. What material to use for carving, what character to make, how can it look. The idea of creating a zombie eating itself came to my mind quite by accident like most of my ideas. The prototype was made of ordinary plasticine. The sculpture was cast from polyurethane resin and today you can buy it from me in the store. I like this concept of the character and the fact that it is such a sketch. Do you also like quick carved sketches? I will certainly carve many more such terrible zombies. If you want to order this figure you will find it in the shop in the figure-zombie sketch/full character
