Aliens and all kinds of monsters are my favorite theme. For me it is a sea of possibilities. Simply something great!
Although a demanding subject for a character designer... after all, this unlimited design freedom hides many traps. In my portfolio you can find various alien heads, including the series of creatures without eyes, and this is the series I like the most. Take a moment to think: how could this monster function without sight? Playing with imagination is, in my opinion, one of the most interesting things in the work of a character designer: during designing, you should think and imagine how a specific monster could breathe, eat, hunt, move or attack and kill. When you approach the design of monsters and creatures from different perspectives with due attention and commitment, you have a chance to design not only something interesting from the sculptural side, but most of all alive real and convincing from the conceptual point of view.
