I approach the topic of alien monsters in two ways - I mean looking for the right character. In the beginning I wonder if is going to be an alien who is an intelligent life form, or one that is just a mindless creature. For me as a character designer, this is a key division at first. Of course, I am talking about it in a simplified way. As a versatile sculptor, I pay a lot of attention to it, because adopting a specific assumption, e.g. that an alien belongs to the intelligent, makes me try to design him so that even if he looks hideous, this character should have specific physical features that suggest his intelligent nature.

This type of design is demanding not only in terms of creativity, talent or sensitivity, but also vision. Another type of design is an alien like a hideous scary monster with no inhibitions. Of course, there are other traps for the designer here. Nevertheless, in both cases, as an artist, I have great possibilities of realization and a challenge to myself...
